If you look at the MacBook Pro 17 inch: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?aid=AIC-WWW-NAUS-K2-BUYNOW-MACBOOKPRO-INDEX&cp=BUYNOW-MACBOOKPRO-INDEX Notice that it has a AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5 Now look at the iMac entry model http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/imac/select?mco=MjIwNTQyNjE Notice that it has a AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB This has the same video card chipset AMD Radeon HD 6750M. The only the difference is the VRAM. You would think that the same chipset would have the same VRAM. I think that Apple is somehow restricting the available VRAM on the iMac in their EFI or something that you may be able to modify to get the higher VRAM, to make you buy the high end model if you want the card. Maybe I just discovered something, or maybe that chipset comes in different sizes and I am an idiot. What do you guys think?
