Video converting for iPad 2 (1024 x576), why the file so big?

Hey guys, I have collect fair bit of videos and music videos.
And i have try so many programs too.

Program I have tried with: Xilisoft iPad Magic Platinum, Wondershare Video converter and the handbrake (at this stage i use windows 7).

I have: Avril Lavigne : What the hell.mpg4 (1920 x 1080) 138MB.

Wondershare Video Converter and Xilisoft Magic, has 2 options for ipad video, the standard and HD. I tried both.

And you know what? the file end up like almost double the mb.

Am I doing something seriously wrong or somewhere i didn't set it right?
