video converting programs

hi! i need help quick

ive been using Prism software for mac to convert videos from youtube and such to watch on itunes/ipod. however when i download them their in .flv file. i just cant find a program that wil convert it into .mp4 or .mov. i tried mpeg streamclip but it didnt convert the audio.

can someone please provide me with FREE nontrial video converter software that will do the job for me. aslong as it converst .avi & .flv to .mp4/.mov

VisualHub was the best for this (was payware) however is no longer available. The developer released the source code though, and there is a few projects taking advantage of this and using his code.

Few months time, I think there will be an extremely good MPEG4 converter that uses an enhanced version of VisualHub's engine.

Just in case you may have it already, Quicktime Pro will do the job.
