Please could anyone recommend me the best way i can download movies from youtube and facebook onto my mac.

keepvid.com is great for youtube. All you need to do is paste in the youtube url and then right click save as...

If your using firefox the download helper ad-on works well, but you still need video converter to change the format to something that you can view. I think mpeg stream clip works.

try Tooble for youtube. it will even encode it for HD if you check that option in the preferences. its a great little program you can even browse youtube with it
