Video in for Macbook Pro

Hi

I was just wondering if there is any way to connect a mini dvd cam to a macbook pro with video in, as this is all my cam uses. (should have thought of this prior to buying the camera, damn spur of the moment decisions)


either that is there anyway i can get the mac to read the video on mini dvd.

Don't those cameras connect as external drives with a data cable (USB or FW)? What model is it?

Its a samsung vp-dc171wi.


I cant seem to even get the mini dvd to be recognized in the mac. I tried using a minidisc adapter which makes it the normal size of a disc
