Saw this video but hasn't seen anyone asking about it here (please let me know if it has been posted and I'll delete this thread)

Can it be real? There were little rumors about Apple patenting some sort of waterproof coating for their device, and ifixit found adhesive on between the screen and body (could it have added water sealing?)

Don't try this at home! But if you accidentally happen to, do share your results! =x

lol I won't comment on his commentary but this is the only water test video I've seen so far. Seems like waterproofing isn't that much sought after all

Wow! I guess they've done some real work in making it water resistant but don't like to advertise the fact. Much like how they undersold the water resistance of the Apple Watch. I wonder if these guys tested the audio capabilities after soaking it like that? And if Apple still use moisture indicators?

I believe they choose not to advertise because they will have to cover it with warranty if it is officially a feature. Kinda sure it still have moisture indicator in this case and I'm keen to see more tests on what you are asking about too
