Not sure about RMVB support but check out Infuse as it's the best playing I have found.

I agree i can really advise to use Infuse 3 Pro. It costs about 10 dollars but it's worth the buy.
For a free alternative check VidOn Player.

Why don't you try picture in picture mode of ios9?

Why are you suggesting to use Picture in Picture while the topic start post mentions iPhone6s plus which doesn't offer this feature in iOS9/9.1? It's an iPad only feature (as far as the official iOS versions are concerned).
