Video organiser?

Hello everyone,

Is there any program that can do what I've outlined in my attachment for videos? Basically, iPhoto for videos..

You can actually put movies in your iPhoto Library.

I know but I'm looking for a more flexible solution - I do not have the videos locally, most are across the network. I want it to be able to handle this..

I'm not sure I understand the picture/diagram, but how about iTunes (7)? You can have the actual files over a network and just have iTunes "reference" the movies (like Aperture if you know what I mean). So the actually files aren't on you're drive but you can still sort them etc.

I really wish you could import more video formats into itunes instead of just mp4 and m4v.
