iPod touch Video Out

Has anyone tried outputting video with the new 3.1 upgrade.

Seems fine here with v.3.1.1 - but you must have the Apple-supplied AV cable (with a spoiler chip in it?)

Plain vanilla - cheap - cables from other suppliers WON'T work. I think Apple broke those with v.3.0 or maybe 2.2.1, or....

Yes i think they did so I bought the apple cable.
