On my 2019 Mac Mini all of a sudden I get no video output over USB-C anymore. It was working fine when I shut it off and after two hours I got no signal when I turned it back on. The display is an Eizo 4K 27". It doesn't matter which USB-C port I use, they all don't work. The display wakes up from standby when I turn on the Mac Mini but after a few seconds it goes back to standby because it doesn't receive a signal.

Video output still works over HDMI, although there is a slight judder every 10 seconds which makes me assume that the Problem is more in the Mac than in the display.

Is there any way to determine if it's the Mac Mini that's faulty or the display when I don't have any other device that can output video over USB-C or is going to the Apple store all I can do?

Rather than start a new thread I thought I would piggyback this one. Having a similar issue. Using 2 monitors and 1 of the USB-C ports will not output video. If I plug into two other ones the video works fine, but the one closest to the HDMI port does not output video. It worked for months prior to a couple days ago. Any thoughts?

Did you happen to install the latest security update? There are a number of threads about people losing ports as a result, requiring an SMC reset to function again.

Yes. Makes sense now. Should I just search on how to do a SMC reset and follow that or is there some special way to do it for this?

Thank you so much for the reply.

ETA: That fixed it. Shut down computer, unplugged power cord for 15 seconds, rebooted and it works. Thanks again.
