I still cant get on my iPhone 4S just got it to turn on on my iPad but some reason the option to turn on isn't even available on my iPhone 4S :'(

Do Not Disturb is my favorite feature. Well thought out. You can turn it on manually, schedule it to turn on and off at certain times. (Needs to have a weekday / weekend setting) It has a setting to allow a group you specify to ring though or you can have it set to none.

The best item which can be on or off is the "Emergency ring though...named repeated calls. If the same number calls you twice within 3 minutes the second call rings through.

really cause I can't even get DND to work....

So do shared photostreams also expire after 30 days?

just my guess but probably not

It works great for me... so good in fact I forgot I had it on. When my wife called twice back to back it rang and she complained she had been calling and texting me for hours. Notification center had a TON of missed calls and texts. The phone never lit up, rang or gave any other indication of a call or text.

Also, can someone help me through this one: charlituna said earlier that photo stream is limited to 1000 photos, and noted that photo stream as a tool for syncing will start to lack utility if you're sharing lots of photos because those are not purged. So say you have 999 photos shared and then you take two photos within a couple of seconds of each other. Then you turn WiFi on and fulfil whatever other conditions for photo stream there are. What happens here? Only one can upload? And then? Or the first one is uploaded and then immediately after that it's removed to make way for the second?

Anyone who can clear up this ground, it'd be much appreciated.

This highlights one problem I have with the Notification Center (that you can experience in other circumstances too): No unified way of alerting the user that they have notifications waiting, or at least new notifications since the last swipe down. I don't like the clutter of having multiple badges on apps so I have those turned off. But I'd love a little ! or something in the menu bar, essentially a a unified badge to let me know I should swipe down. I believe Android works better in this respect. Anyway, personal issue... ignore the derail...

Looks great but one 'bug'

Photo sharing looks great. Can't wait for it.

I did see something which I hope they can fix. If you looking at the shared photos on iCloud and you scroll down to a particular photo, click on it to zoom in, and then either hit escape or click "Shared Photos" button at the bottom, it does not return you to the smaller version of the picture you are looking at but instead, takes you all the way to the top.

For a small group of photos, this is not too bad. However, if there were hundreds of shared photos and you were enlarging random photos, it could be a pain to have to scroll back down from the top each time.

Oh well, it is beta so here's hoping they can fix that.

Am I right in thinking that public shared photo streams are the only bit active at the moment i.e. private shared photo streams have not been activated yet?

Does your camera roll go right into PhotoStream?

In iOS 6, does every picture you take go right into you main photo stream? So, if my girlfriend and I have a shared photostream, and she wants to send me a "picture", would that also go into the main photostream automatically like it does in iOS5, or can you default to not use the main photostream and only use shared ones?

This makes PhotoStream actually useful for me.

I hated the way it would just upload my last X amount of photos. I take tons of photos, and most aren't very good. (Shoot first, decide later.) Now I can link it to my Apple TV, and finally ditch my old Flickr.

As far as I know it's the last 1000 photos that are stored on photostream. i.e. in your situation, the oldest photo would fall off the back and the two new photos would be added to photostream.

Ah yes, I'd expect that to happen if the 999 photos already up there were just regular photo stream ones. But charlituna suggested that shared photos, whilst still counting towards the 1000 photo limit, are skipped when photos start dropping off. So what happens in my example is still a bit unclear to me :)

I'm thinking that yeah, the first would be uploaded and then immediately cleared for the second - or something like that. Sounds weird but I guess that's quite an extreme example that will only come from bad management. Just something to bear in mind if you have a lot of photos shared, as charlituna said: make sure your regular photo stream has synced to all devices that you need it to as soon as possible.

So what happens if you share a photo from you camera roll and then delete that photo from your camera roll? Is it still shared online?

I would love to know how this guy recorded a digital video of his screen while making the shared photo stream video.

One of the things I was really hoping for was embedded data to stick if another user downloaded the Shared Photo stream pic. I just downloaded 1 of these photos, and can confirm intact it does!

This is huge, because my wife and I share a single iPhoto so we can keep family pics, etc together. In order to keep date/time/location info she's had to email her photos from her iPhone to me, so I could add them via Photo Stream to our iMac.

Now, she can just share what she wants and I can then download when needed and not worry about the bandwidth issues associated with email.

Thanks for sharing your photo stream with us for testing!

Yep - this looks great. I prefer this type of sharing with a small group of people than all over Facebook.

I'm not sure that there is a difference between selecting people to see your photos on Facebook and selecting people to see your photos through iOS/icloud?
