Video Playback on 2011 MPB 15" jerky

I just updated to lion, and one of the problems for my computer is that any video I stream is jerky. THe sound is continuous, however the video tends to pause and jump around. Is there anyway to fix this?


The sites that I noticed this on are youtube, facebook vids, cnn.com videos, and etc.

If you have "just" updated, Spotlight is probably indexing your computer.
If after some hours the same occurs, then there must be something wrong with it.

Check and see if anything is eating up CPU. Open the Activity monitor, sort by CPU or whatever, and see if you have any background processes going on.
