    Hi:
First of all sorry for my poor english. I´m going tu buy a 2017 iPad but I´ve no idea about IOS apps.
I have a server with movies. I have an old android tablet. I usually access the server using FTP and I download the movie on the tablet.

Is there any a app in IOS (free or not) that can do the same thing?

    Thanks in advance. Regards

VLC claims to do this, though I have not used FTP in a very long while.

nPlayer (app / site) and Infuse (app / site) both offer FTP support and are great. It's a few euros but they both offer great features.

Both nPlayer (nPlayer, nPlayer Plus bot offer download option see screenshots in App Store I've used it in the past as well, not sure what the difference is between the two other then price) and Infuse (see here) do offer a download feature. See there screenshot, sites and App Store descriptions as well.
