I got quite a lot of space left for my ipod touch...so I'm thinking about putting in some movies in it. But, I don't know any programs that could convert the avi file into a file suitable for an iPod; also I heard a program that can halve the size of a video while it still has quality :p

I spent some time looking for a good converter this weekend and was surprised there were not more free open source programs out there.

as it turns out though VLC is a great program for converting videos for the ipod touch. I'm still trying to figure out if conversion can be sped up though...
