It’s interesting reading critiques about the AWU’s “style” and design.

Beyond a bigger, brighter screen and longer battery life, isn't everything about the Ultra geared towards the “non-average”/extreme/outdoor/adventurer user for whom the design/style is lowest on the totem pole of buying rationale? Hell, maybe a “rough,” blocky function-first style is perfect for the extreme/outdoor enthusiast.

Any critique about the AWU style seems like complaining about the difficulty to park a Ford F350 duallie in a standard Aldi parking lot space…one buys such a truck for a purpose other than convenience when grocery shopping!

Buy a Rolex and keep it for a lifetime.
Buy an Apple Watch and another a few years later and another and another and another.
It’s the  way.
I’ve had Rolex’s, bought the AWU on its release date due to it’s larger size.
Spend $5 on a Rolex and get absolutely no warranty, my Apple Watches continuously get free updates and it has a warranty. I’ve had a Series 4, 6 and now the Ultra. I think I’m good for awhile with this one.

You can keep the Rolex. Is just an overpriced status symbol, IMO.

It's a shame you have to pay such a premium price for things (sapphire, 2000 nits) that the Galaxy Watch 6 offers at a much lower price.

Having said that, I love my AWU (I do wish it was lighter though).
Galaxy watch 5 pro is what I tried and the continuous o2 sensor while sleeping is the best feature along with battery life Ti and sapphire screen. That said the Apple Watch is a better software experience.

My favorite Apple product to come out in years. It's exceeded my expectations since day one. Not upgrading it this year, but will definitely replace with another Ultra in 2024.

As a side note, and a total ego-related perk, I have never been asked more about a watch or Apple device more than the Ultra. Routinely asked by hospital co-workers and patients. I think it's just different enough looking that many people will inquire about it.
Oh no. That’sa downside for me. Lol

Ask me how I know.
I doubt anyone cares.
Rolex is simply arm candy (bling). Mine always lost time and was nowhere as useful as my AW.
And it depends on your personal taste, but I actually get more compliments/questions about my AWU than I ever did with my Rolex. Not that I really care, I didn’t get either of them for people to ask me about it or even notice it.

You cared enough to reply.
