I did a little searching but cound't find an answer

I have an airport extreme (n) station, with a new usb 50gb drive attached to it with the intent on putting all of my movies on it to stream around the house, but the video has been stuttering a bit. I have the aebs on b/g/n,

Running DVD Rips ;) should work fine over the airport, but HD need a hardwired network (Wifi is 54 Mb/s or 6.75 MB/s if everything is optimal). A DVD is about 4 GB and it's normally 1.5 hours meaning you'll have to have 1.13 MB/s sustained and for some strange reason Wifi finds that difficult for the whole duration of the movie... Especially if someone else is surfing the net and stuff like that.

    I'm having the same problem.

I have 2 computers wireless connected to my AEBSn.
I have a 500gb HDD connected with my full music library and partial video library.
One computer runs OSX exclusively while the other runs OSX & XP on it.

The macbook with just OSX on it runs video and audio playback fine over the network and while surfing the web or running other apps, absolutely no stutter.

However, when playing tracks in itunes or using VLC it stutters intermittently and randomly.
