I've already read other threads about the subject but anyone had a good answer...

Please, help me!

I have a video .avi and a subtitle .srt with a same name! How can I combine it and put into a DVD?

I want to watch the video with subtitle in my DVD player, not in my computer!

Thank you so much.

First, bumping threads is frowned upon here.

Second, have you tried iDVD? I don't know that it can do subtitles, but it is worth a shot.

If iDVD can't do it, then you might need a more powerful DVD creation tool - search the digital video section of the forum to see what comes up.

Do you have Perian installed?

I had a movie with .srt subtitles and when I had them both in the same directory, and opened it in Quicktime, they played fine.

I then put it into iDVD and burned it.

You can probably (not certain) save it as a self contained movie with the subtitles in it, using quicktime pro as well.
