I kept getting looped into having to wake my device and put it back to sleep at the point where I needed to turn VPN on.

Restoring and trying again.

Update: After restoring and restoring from an iCloud backup it worked. And answered another question that some had about being able to jailbreak when using iTunes 10.5.3.

Every time i get to the step 5 cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig I get
couldnt load program files (86) common files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\MobileDevice.dll\(null). ANy suggestions?

Try reinstalling iTunes. It sounds like some file is missing on your computer.

Also are you on a x32 OS by any chance? And make sure you run cmd as an admin.

Thanks heaps Ron, the Jailbreak has completed successfully :)

I didn't even have to restore and set up a new phone. If you are getting the FATAL ERROR after performing the 'cinject.exe -j' command, just keep running that command and eventually it should work.

Good luck!

When I type in the cinject.exe -j payloads I get:

Finding slide...
Failed
Error

Any ideas?

FWIW I had a similair error on my first go and it turns out I had no free space on my iPad, so I deleted some apps and tried again and it worked.

That may have just been a coincidence though but I still recommend have at least a few 100mb's of free space on iPhone/iPad before trying this

AND

BACKUP! If you haven't backed up the "creating backup" step seems to take forever and if it fails then... you lose your camera roll in my experience.

iTunes backup, restoring from iCloud backup has taken me over 12 hours now and it's only 66% and I'm on a fast Wi-Fi connection... *sigh*.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I keep getting URL requested on server could not be found when I try to play music.

Lots of very weird behavior. In going to restore as new and start again.
