Why do the videos sent to me via iMessage only play within the message app? They play in the same small box.

Videos in messages only play in small window?

Yea they do. You have to go to details and scroll down to the attachments. to view in the big view.
Yeah, it's basically about how you start playing the video--pressing play while it's still in a small window in the conversation or first tapping on the video to make it go fullscreen and then playing it.
