Videos on iPad - where is Videos app

Just got iPad for my kids as our old iPad died. I have some of the videos so they can watch but i can not find out what have happened to Videos App, it seems i dont have it nor i can download it (11.2). Videos App is used so kids know where to go to watch it.....am i doing something wrong? I was able to find videos under TV, but its little complicated as they have other options and there is store.....

Is there simpler way to watch vides on ipad now?

Apple has discontinued the videos app and included the new tv app.

I'm about to upgrade to ios11; what would happen to the videos already stored in the Video app after the upgrade? Will the videos be automatically moved to the TV app ?

Actually the TV app just appeared on my phone randomly the day before yesterday. So it’s the same in the UK now.

As said, I’m also in the UK and I have just checked again; the new TV App is not available to me. The older Videos App is still showing in the App Store.

That’s very interesting. That means everyone didn’t get the tv app. Weird.
