Videos sent to me show up black

My girlfriend recently purchased the Galaxy Note 7. When she texts me(iPhone 6s) videos, the video is pitch black with only the audio playing. How do I fix this?

The Note 7 is probably sending videos in a format not supported by iOS for playback. She can either convert the video format or (and I'm not completely sure about this) upload the video to Google Drive and Share it with you.

On a side note, I hope your girlfriend is not using the Note 7 anymore. If she is, she must get it replaced/returned ASAP. Its a hazard.
