I thought the new firmware would allow documents to be viewed on the iPhone??

    Am I wrong?

You could always view PDF docs (word, and excel files too, I think). Not sure about iWork documents

Oh, really?? Could you explain how? For example, I have a PDF on my Mac - how can I get it onto my iPhone to view later? Thanks.

To view it, just email it to you.

You can see it in your email.

You should be ablo to see iWork file too.

Email it to yourself, or host it on a web server. That should work with different filetypes: you can't sync these files onto your iPhone, though (or at least I don't think you can. I might be wrong) PM me if you need detailed help, I'll be happy walk you through it.

hi.. i'm still debating if i should get an iphone.. i currently own the xv6800.. and i really love having excel & word. i know you can only view excel & word docs, if you email it to yourself but can u save them on your phone? Or do u have to always go to your email to view them?

i also like to use my phone as a diary/journal, is there an app on the iphone where i can jot down my thoughts? :)

FileMagnet lets you view/sync certain file types to your iPhone/touch.

Oh dear, well there's your first mistake. LOL. Seriously though, try searching the App Store. There might be something that doesn't need a desktop app to sync files like FileMagnet does.

Brilliant - exactly what I was looking for and works very well. For £2.99, that's a bargain.

    Thanks for that.
