iPod View options lose state info for shared libs

I have all my music stored on a Linux server which I share in my home net using mt-daapd and play with iTunes on my MacBook Pro streaming to my Express. It's a wonderful setup but when I set the view options for that shared library, those options don't persist. IOW if the laptop goes to sleep, when I wake it up the view options have gone back to the default.

I've done a fair bit of looking for a solution to this and I can't find one. Does anyone here have an answer?
