Viewer Window Pane problem on FCP

has anyone else noticed that sometimes, if you change a audios levels in the viewer pane, the viewer window will freak out and you can't see the bars anymore and just get a weird mix of the level graph below, or is it just me?

I have all the updates etc and 10.4.9, its been happening since 10.4.4, i hoped apple would sort it in the updates, but apparently not

sorry if this has been posted before, or in another section, i checked around but couldn't find anything.

Wow! I haven't heard of that, and it doesn't happen to me. A screenshot would be interesting!

Is this on your iMac C2D? Is it the universal binary version of FCP?

Have you tried trashing your FCP preference files?

It will happen at random and doesn't happen every time, 50/50, I'm waiting to get a screen shot, will post asap

Yes I am running a full universal version of Final Cut Studio
Final Cut Pro 5.1 (latest update)

i haven't tried trashing the preference files yet

Having bought final cut studio not to long ago i cant really afford to upgrade to final cut studio 2 for a while yet.
