viewing cookie files

    A basic question; how does one open a cookie file to view all the information, especially the date and time the the website was viewed. (The windows version of 'temporary internet files'.) Thanks

    This is completely browser-dependent on the Mac, just as it is on Windows.

    Safari makes this a pain in the rear as it stores its cookies in a binary plist format. You have to do some Terminal mojo to convert this to XML, then open up the converted file in a text editor.
