ViewSonic VA2323wm for a Macbook Pro

I've been thinking about buying this monitor to hook it up to my 15" i5 Macbook Pro. The reviews seem quite positive, anyone has had any experience with it? Would I also need this adapter to use it with the Macbook?

Any info would be appreciated, also if you would recommend a different monitor that is within the same size and price range.

That's actually the wrong adapter. You would need a DP to DVI or VGA adapter. It doesn't seem to have an HDMI port.

It seems that it doesn't comes with he digital cable but only the standard VGA one, so one would need to buy that too.

I wonder if anyone can chime in with some comments about the monitor.

I think I am sold on the VX2439WM, it is bigger, better and at nearly the same price.

One question the connector for DVI is listed as "DVI-D", would the same adapter/cable recommended by No1nfoProvided work anyway?
