He is outrageously tongue in cheek, and purposely a complete a a**hole. I find it weirdly refreshing how far he'll go – straight out of camus' L'etranger.

Although he's a pr*ck he is annoyingly talented. I love buffalo '66, and off the back of it, got a ticket to see him play his music live at the Royal Festival Hall. It was awsome and he was, suprisingly, humble.

yeah i remember him doing the music for buffalo. Great soundtrack, and Heart of Sunrise was a great choice for the climax.

So Camus didn't hate arabs? I'm confused 🙂

Vincent Gallo is one of the most self-absorbed and over-rated filmmakers ever. Buffalo 66 was marginal at best. I think people give it to much credit. There are far better indie films out there. Gummo was the worst film that I'd ever seen until I saw the Brown Bunny. The Brown Bunny is so terrible, I literally fast forwarded through it, occasionally stopping at "plot points". The ending is what it's known for, and the ending is part overblown melodrama and part porn. Vincent Gallo is the worst filmmaker I've ever come across, even worse than Larry Clark. On a final note, why does Chloe Sevigny date all the horrible filmmakers? Oh, right. They let her star in their horrible films.

Gummo was the worst film that I'd ever seen

one of the very, very few that i couldn't watch all the way through, i was so utterly bored by it. i can think of no other film i've switched off before the end.
