I've figured it would be a long shot but I booted up my iPhone 4s the first time in a long time to use an app and now it's stuck on an activation loop, I used the Apple windows app "Apple Devices" that acts like the old iTunes to restore it but it just lets me connect to the network and will not accept my Apple user and ID. Is there any known bypasses or should I just give up on it? I backed up all my 32bit apps from the app store and kept the 4s just to use them once in a while, but I feel this is it.

It will still activate but you may no longer be able to log in. You can only log in to iCloud or Apple Account on devices running iOS 10 and newer. I am able to log in on an iPhone 5c running iOS 10 despite this article saying you need at least iOS 11 - System requirements for iCloud

It was using the latest iOS available for the 4s iOS 9.3.6.
When I meant the Apple ID log in is after set up to either restore the backup or to activate it through Apple. I keep getting errors on both.
A few months ago I wasn’t having that issue, but I also I like to recharge my batteries every few months.
I’m like 95% close on giving up on vintage Apple devices, my iPod 6th gen is having issues charging now and the after market batteries are in bad quality also
I just tried to boot my 4s, it does boot and has WIFI but refuses to get online, I think this is the end.
I know it’s impossible for Apple to do anything but I’m getting server errors, it truly is the end 😭
Very coincidentally I am getting an identical message from a Win7 box am trying to revive. Well these tech companies are sure in synchronized cahoots 🙁 They say Service Providers have these customer retention departments, sometimes I wonder if they have hidden "If We Annoy You Enough, Will You Buy A New Device" departments.

With Win7, do you mean Windows 7? I am currently using Windows 7 and that is what I am using to reply to this thread.
Not all Win 7 box would have the problem I gather, my other Win 7 box is running fine, this problematic one, it is possible I never activated it, and now 10 years later, Microsoft is telling me, "you want us to continue to support this ancient product?"
