Vinyl decal skin on case?

Do vinyl decals work on cases, specifically the fieldfolio?

I've never bought one before, so I'm not sure if it's sticker like application, or one of those things that only work on smooth surfaces.

Macbook Stickers are adhesive and they will stick to fieldfolio iphone cases.
