Hello, everyone,

My phone, running iOS 8.3, has stopped giving me VIP mail notifications. This has also happened on my Wife's phone.

At first we thought it was the Apple Watch that was not displaying the notifications, but soon we noticed they are not listed on the phone either.

All settings have been checked, and they all seem to make sense. i.e. Mail notifications are turned on, including the allow on lock screen setting. Badges and banners are turned on.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If so, has a solution been found?

Many thanks.

Could the VIP senders have been reset/lost somehow, or are those still there, and are correctly identified within the Mail app as well (with a gray star on the left of the sender/mail)?

Sorry, forgot to mention that.

Yes, within mail itself everything is ok. The correct people are listed as VIPs. They have the star, using search and filters all works correctly. It is only at the notification level that the problem appears.

I take it other notifications work fine?

What about enabling notifications for any/all email, just to see if those would come through or if there's something similar happening--basically to see if this is more Mail related in general, or something specific to VIP in some way.

just to double check, are you aware VIP notifications have a separate section within the Mail notification settings?
