Congratulations on a great find. I had a Pismo from 2000 until early 2006, at which point it was mostly being used by my son (then four years old). Sadly, it died a tragic milk-related death. I've missed it ever since, and still occasionally look at listings for Pismos for sale. I've been using Macs since 1985, and the Pismo may still be my overall favorite.

Two years and the friend's Pismo still running great with the original Hard drive. However, that battery did not last. He was not that mac savvy and did not realize that when he could run off his power cord, he should have.

The interesting thing is how bright that old, unused Pismo screen was.

Still chuggin' along.

I still keep my Pismo around that I bought almost 8 years ago. At some point, I did the G4 upgrade, and I installed 1GB of RAM. It runs Tiger pretty well. I have a 24" iMac and a MBP, but I still keep the Pismo as a spare. I just can't get myself to sell such a unique computer.
