Virtual Box advice

Hi! I've recently installed Windows XP on Virtual Box, it asked me how much RAM the VM would take and how much video mem .. I assigned 1024MB Ram and 64 MB video , but my question is... this ram and video mem only is taken when the VM is running right?

I know.. silly question😱

oh it doesnt take that much. i use 512mb for the ram and its fine once it gets going 🙂

haha.. I just downgraded the amount of RAM.. but that doesnt answer my question , these 512 MB RAM and those 64 VRAM , only when Windows is running?

Yes it only uses the resources when windows is running.
