I just had an idea. What if Apple carries over the function of Spaces to the Dashboard, so that one could have multiple Dashboards for different categories of widgets. I know that I run out of room for widgets on the screen of my 15" PowerBook. Is this feasible?

I would appreciate any input on this idea. It would make Dashboard a lot more appealing to me and to many others I'm sure.

You'd have no RAM left...

Regarding the RAM issue:

What if Apple simply turns off widgets when Dashboard is not in use while saving the critical information for each widget? (Ex. The zip code entered in the weather widget.)

Or more importantly, turning off widgets that aren't in the virtual dashboard that is currently being viewed.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is...is there any way to minimize the amount of RAM consumed by Dashboard?
