Years ago I bought VirtualPC 5 that came with the home edition of Win XP. I ran it for awhile under OS 9. A few years ago when I ungraded to my iMac I never reinstalled V-PC. Currently I'm thinking about installing VMWare Fusion.

Anyone know if I can install the WinXP version that came bundled with VirtualPC? I have both install disks and the Product key. Even the receipt I had stuck in with the install disk. How would I go about install it?

Since I already own a copy of Windows, I'd like to be able to save a few dollars if possible.

Unlikely that this is compliant with the license, and then it might not activate.

If it were me I'd try to see if VMWare Converter likes any of the files on the install disks.

You can always get an ISO of W7 to try for 30 days without activation in order to run Converter.
