Virus, Help

    Hey i just got my macbook about two weeks ago
    and just recently i went to this one website, i dont remember
    which one, but this warning for a virus popped up and
    i remember it telling me that i should download Norton Anti Virus
    2008. Anyone had this problem???Do you really think i got a
    virus? :confused:

    This is simply an advertisement for Windows users. It did not scan your computer. You don't have a virus. It's little better than a scam. Ignore it.

    :p It's just a random pop up, you don't have a virus, I had one the other week that popped up saying your windows system registry files are corrupted, run this scan to correct them :rolleyes:

    i actually didnt get the one that said run a scan, mine said download
    Norton Anti Virus, but i just closed it.:apple:

    I remember a funny flash ad that went around a while back. It would auto-fullscreen and give you a very convincing BSOD.

    Except I was on my mac. I think I rofl'd.

    Someone else saw that same warning once, I have yet to see it, but I kinda figure Macs are virtually virus proof (if you're careful) :D
