Virus on iPad

got my iPad back from a work "friend" and it has some kind of porn app or porn search virus. Of course they don't know anything about it; lesson learned. Not sure what he did but want it gone. If I restore do I lose all my music and audiobooks?

What exactly does it do? There are no viruses for iOS really.

You can sync all those back without restoring backup assuming they're purchased or in iTunes (which they must be).
