Virus on Mac!

I have a iMac. Yesterday I received a dangeour file in my email (.com) and made a mistake of double clicked it. It did not run becuase it was .com!

Do I have be afraid of virus in Mac? If yes, what a good anti-virus to install?

No. Just don't install pirated software you get from torrents.

You'll be fine. That file can only run under Windows operating systems.

That file is a WINDOWS file.

There are NO viruses on OS X.

Though you have to be careful when receiving/downloading an infected file that infects windows computers. It doesn't harm your mac, but when you send it off to a friend who has a PC his or her computer will get infected.
