I see a lot of people saying they’re ready to buy the Vision Pro for $3,499…but it starts at that price (with 256GB of storage). We already know that reader inserts will be $99 and prescription inserts will be $149. (Is that per eye, or both eyes?)

Could there be a 512GB model for $200 more and a 1TB model for $600 more? Maybe even a 2TB model for $1,000 more? (Got these numbers based on iPad Pro pricing.) Or maybe an option to order different battery pack sizes or multiple battery packs? Multiple colors?

If it is configurable, when will Apple release that information? I feel like a lot of people will be scrambling Friday morning trying to decide what they actually want if they don’t release it until then. Or be put on the spot and end up buying a much more expensive configuration than planned, especially if the cheaper ones sell out first.

Apple is pretty silly not putting out clearer numbers. You know people are going to have buyer’s remorse and then want to switch model etc etc due to lack of time to think about it (assuming we don’t see pricing till 5am PT Friday). While Apple still will sell every unit they make initial, it’s not a way to build customer good will.

You shouldn't base the storage price extrapolations on the iPad Pro's pricing, because the jump from 512GB to 1TB on the iPad also includes a jump from 8GB RAM to 16GB. Looking at the M2 MacBook Air's pricing structure for storage, I would expect the following:

256GB - $3499
512GB - $3699
1TB - $3899
2TB (??) - $4299
