Personally, I wouldn’t want to wear someone else’s sweat band. I think people will either love it or hate it. They’ll know within the 15 day return window whether it works for them or not.
The bands and facial interfaces are modular. I highly doubt it would even fit comfortably in the first place. Not to mention it being gross to use these bands second hand (kinda like the Apple Watch).

So second hand buyers would likely just want to buy the headset itself at a discount.

And the sellers can keep the headbands for the second gen headset if they plan on upgrading.

That's my plan if Apple releases a second gen Vision soon. With the M3 already out, I feel like the M2 will feel severely outdated by 2024. I'm assuming Apple will keep the M3's for the Pro's until after the Vision launches to avoid that.

I don't know how much of an upgrade the M3 is over the M2, but any power efficiency improvements could help with the headset ("up to 2 hours of use" on battery...). So I at least hope Apple offers the option of an M3 tier.
