There has been a lot of discussion about the iOS 18 Photos app changes. I’m curious what folks think of the Photos app in visionOS 2? I’m not running the beta so I haven’t seen or heard much about it other than the new spatial feature. To me the current version seems a bit lacking so I’m hoping the new version has some improvements. For example, does it display picture Titles like in macOS or Captions like on iOS? Is there an Info pop-up for pictures now? And I guess the big question is whether it takes on the navigation and customization features of the iOS 18 photos app?

There are not a lot of features in the Photos app VisionOS 2 Beta 7. It is a picture viewer, which does not reveal any additional information about the picture but the date and what it is. If it is a video, you have the play control at the bottom. There is an addional menu in single view for duplicating/sharing/deleting etc.
There is a "squeeze" popup in the overview, which shows the mentioned menu. Nothing more.

Thanks for that! It seems pretty much unchanged except for the ability to covert 2D to spatial photos.
The metadata is a very useful feature for me, but I’m probably in the minority.

I often have multiple videos that are hard to differentiate so I’ll add Titles and Captions.
