Humm, think I'll give it a try, I have to see what Redmond has been foing for 5 years, lol.
Although I would never get rid of OSX but I will try Vista just to know what I'm talking about, then I'll give you my honest feedback.
Good one
🙂 You think I love Vistas AERO too much to give a honest opinion?
Try it out and you will see, Get the RTM version if you can.
Other than maybe problems with software compatibility and Games which use Open GL like Doom 3 you wont have (ATI didnt release drivers with good OPEN GL support) so it looks like **** playing this games I read
By the way, does anyone know if the Adobe Creative Suite 2 is compatible with Vista? Because until the CS3 comes out as universal I really need a decent alternative to work with, photoshop is full of bugs running in OSX/Rosetta
.
I have a photoshop cs2 installed and it runs without problems. And I saw on this link. I think I saw Adobe Creative Suite CS2 on the list as supported

And Gambino, was it easy to install Vista? if it's too much of a problem to get it working I wont even try...
Vista was easy to install. I formated the whole hd at first. Installed Mac OSX system base files only and it installed it about the same time as Vista Ultimate. The DVD verification before installing Mac OSX took a long time before actually starting the install - thats why. Than I installed bootcamp and set up the partition, put the Vista dvd in, rebooted and the installl started. It only asked about 4 questions and then started copying files and thats it.
I didnt use any of the drivers bootcamp provides except apple keyboard support which is nice to have. If you have the ATI X1600 mobility there are new drivers on ATI site. The one windows automatically uses after the first boot into Vista are a month old but still worked without problems.
My RTM version is not activated, I put a key in before installing and have 30 days until it locks me out, but I also have a bat file which automatically resets it for another 30 days. This bat file works only 3 times not forever. So I will be able to use it until 30 January when I am going to buy it. And it never asked me or annoyed me with a message to activate it.
