Vista on external?

Just wondering, is there some hack that lets you install windows vista on an external Hard Drive? If i installed it on my internal Harddrive, and then copyed all of the data to my external FW hard drive would I be able to boot from it?

Please help, if you know of any hacks or drivers please help!

i've always wondered this myself. I know that you can boot osx off an external hard drive..so if you made a bootable partition of windows you would think the boot loader would notice it just like it would an external osx partition.

i think i might remember someone saying this is a limitation of windows itself and that windows cannot be run off an external drive.
