Hi, I have a question regarding having Vista installed on a Mac.

I plan on purchasing the new Mac Pro whenever that is coming out and I'm thinking of getting Vista Ultimate SP1 (64 bit) now since it's on sale and that way I can stretch out my costs instead of buying everything at once.

I heard that Vista Ultimate SP1 has problems installing via boot camp and that a good way to get around this is to get the Vista disc without SP1 but that's hard to find. Is it okay to buy Vista SP1 or am I just setting myself up for problems?

Thanks in advance ;)

I didn't have a problem installing it:

64-bit Vista Business Retail SP1
2008 Mac Pro

I had no problems with Vista x64 Ult OEM SP1. Install went very smooth and runs great.

I'd think SP1 would make it easier, if anything. I'm just concerned about Windows on the new non-Intel chipset systems :(

Thanks for the replies, I just bought Vista so we'll see how everything goes when the Mac Pro arrives.
