I'm looking to have a form of Windows on my Mac temporarily, in order to finish an online tech class that requires Windows software instead of Mac. I just made the PC to Mac switch a month ago, so I'm pretty new to the Mac. Is it possible to download the Windows Vista Trial while running Mac OS X 10.5.6, then somehow possibly run BootCamp to install the Vista Download, or visa versa, or something of that sort?

Basically, I just want to take the trial download while running the Mac OS, then somehow through BootCamp turn my Mac into Vista, temporarily. Is this at all possible?

    Thank you in advance!

Nope. It is a VHD for Virtual PC. It for IT teams to eval Vista. You can try to extract it but I do not think it worth your time.

You can download the files on a Mac but you will need Windows to run the .EXE file. I guess once it's downloaded it will extract to a .ISO which you can burn to disk with Disk Utility. At that stage you can use boot camp to partition you Mac to dual boot Vista and OS X.

Could you or someone give me a detailed response on how to do this? It sounds like it would work great for me since I have all the required materials such as a DVD Burner and StuffIt Expander and all that good stuff. It would be great if someone could give me a step by step process or direct me to somewhere I could read a tutorial on how to do it...
