Yes you can, one simple update and pay for full license and away you go. Microsoft always does that, the beta's just marketing hype really.

Use Windows 7 and you wont be physically able to use Vista ever again. Its called evolution...

I have used Windows 7. While it is faster then Vista, I can't say I "won't" be able to use Vista ever again because I deleted Windows 7 and went back to Vista before currently going back to XP.

You cannot upgrade the current beta to final. At least thats what Microsoft says.
