Just installed Windows Vista the third HDD in my Mac Pro, boots up fine, however I can't seem to get it to work through Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion (using the bootcamp install).

Both emulators start Vista and then I get Windows Boot Manager telling me Windows failed to start.

"Windows failed to load because the firmware (BIOS) is not ACPI compatible"

Which version of Vista are you using? Certain versions aren't allowed to be emulated (maybe that's the issue?)...

Its Vista Ultimate.

I think what happened was the Virtual Machine I created in Parallels was for XP not Vista. I have created a new one (for Vista) which seems to be working.

Fusion is still not working, different error message:

royal.sys An was made to write to read-only memory.

Yeah my Vista on bootcamp, wont open if I try to open the bootcamp partition in Parallels. I just get the same error.
