Sadly VH shut down a while ago and as a legit owner I was really sad to see it go. At the moment I am still using it as unsupported software, but want to find a current and updated equal.

I need the ability to take video files, .mov, avi, etc and convert them to watchable DVDs for work (Teacher) so I can give them out for projects or to show in class. I know a few folks picked up the source code but they really haven't turned into anything decent and stable.

Does any one know a quick and easy to use solution they have found thats not iDVD or DVDSP or Toast (quality is just horrid even on max settings from my experience) ?

I sometimes use MPEG Streamclip to create an MPEG2 file that I then use Toast to burn.

I Have FCP and have Apple's MPEG2 component installed - I'm not sure if you need that to create MPEG2s using MPEG Streamclip or if it's just for importing them. Have a go.

I really should learn how to use Compressor, but I am a bear of very little brain and long words bother me.
