    Hi,

I use Visualhub to convert HD MKV files to ATV 2.0+AC3 files and it works really well. I just use 2 pass and 'Go Nuts' settings.

However, I really have no clue what settings to use for non-hd divx files of TV shows (sourced from torrent sites). I imagine if I use 'Go Nuts' settings I'll end up with huge files and without seeing any quality improvement. What I really need is the correct settings to keep the quality the same as the original and the minimum file size.

    Does anyone have a recommendation?

    Cheers,

    Grazzyman

I just put in the file size box in the advanced tab the file size of the original file. So if you are converting a .avi tv show to .mp4 it is 176MB's, then set the target size in VisualHub to 180MB's.

Also, I've found Two-Pass isn't really worth the extra time or the slight increase in quality. I can barely notice any difference between the two, if at all.

For VisualHub TV shows, Futurama DVD rip that I ripped from the DVD season I own of Futurama, I just dragged it into VisualHub and have it at standard, and H.246 Encoding, so it can be put on my iPod and I have it optimized for Apple TV. It looks amazing on both Apple TV and iPod 5G.
