When I pay some video's in VLC and I skip through a section I get an error window that pops up. Does this happen to anyone else? What does it mean and what can I do to stop it?

Another thing that I get when I skip through certain videos is, the image distorts and goes really pixelated for 5 seconds or so and then slowly clears up again. Anyway to stop this?

If it means anything, I have version 0.8.6.i

This is what the error message I get looks like

No-one?

I've noticed it also gives me a similar window when I pause some windows.
Also occasionally it shuts down while I'm playing a video (usually when I've pausing or skipping)
Is it because of the video file, or the player itself?
Is the error window common. Please help.

I may not be much, but it still won't sit right until I have some understanding as to why it does it.
