VLC keeps crashing on me, even when just opening it and then letting it sit. I have tried .8.1 and .8.2 .

This is on a 1ghz 12 inch albook with dvi, and 768 ram. I am thinking maybe a file is corrupted somewhere for the config, can anybody help me find this file?

edit: running 10.4.2

I also have problems with VLC the odd time.
i can't open a video and then minimize it and bring the volume up or it crashes.....

have you tried to fix your permissions? i find sometimes this will work.....

Try deleting ~/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist and see if that helps. If you wanted to find this file yourself all you needed to do was type vlc in finders search field, or use spotlight.
